Hello all:
This is essentially a generic linux question, if
this is off topic here please recommend the proper venue.
I want to set up a server that will serve as a
Gateway, Mailserver, Fileserver, Webserver, FTPserver, and
Sambaserver.
I have a number of SCSI hard drives ranging from 2
GB to 22 GB, and an Adaptec 2940. The box is an old Dual P200 Micron
w/384MB RAM.
My configuration is as follows:
sda = 2GB with /boot = 100MB, swap =
900MB, /tmp = 1000MB
sdb = 4.3 GB with / = 1500MB, /var =
2800MB
sdc = 22GB with /home using all of this
drive
I also have a SCSI CDR on this
controller
There are no IDE devices in this box.
If you have recommendations for configuring this
any better, please let me know. Also if you know of some reading on this
topic, please let me know.
