Hi there:

I just install Wine in my FC2 today, had no problem there. Tar file?
Shouldn't you be using "wine-20040615-1fc1winehq.athlon.rpm" from the link
below?

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=6241&package_id=77396

Once you got the .rpm, cd to the folder that contains it and use

Rpm -Uvh wine-20040615-1fc1winehq.athlon.rpm

I think you need to be as root to do this.

Also, you might want to download Winesetuptk, its a little gui program that
helps you to configure Wine. It at:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=6241

called:

winesetuptk-0-73.i586.rpm

Hope this helps
