I can only run kde from terminal on approval of failures, but not from a "normal" logging.
I wish someone could help me.

or deleting this directory can result in this problem. The time I found out I
had to re-install in order to make it work. Look at the permissions you have
on /tmp. This is mine:
ls -l / |grep tmp
drwxrwxrwt 19 root root 4096 Jul 6 19:05 tmp
In /tmp you will find a number of entries being used by kde and gnome that are required for logon.
