Printer setup

I have a lexmark X63 all-in-one printer, and Lexmark doesn't make drivers for linux. When I first started in linux with redhat 8.0, I could never get it to work. I tried many drivers, but all I got was pages of trash, random colors, and a bunch of other junk. When I upgraded to RH9, my printer worked all the sudden without me having to setup anything, although the print quality wasn't as good as in windows.

Now that I've installed Fedora C2, my printer isn't working anymore. In the printer setup, it detects my printer on the usb port, but it can't detect which model to autodetect driver version. There is a green check by the printer I created, but the status always says the media tray is empty. I tried using different lexmark drivers and the gimp-print and gimp-print-ijs, and the printer will print with gimp, but I get multicolored lines and garbage instead of text like I got in RH8.

Please help!

Thanks,
Andrew
