It seems like up2date has some strange bug. I am using up2date with an apt repository. Today several up2dates showed up when I run "up2date -l". Then I run "up2date -u" and got the following error: Testing package set / solving RPM inter-dependencies... ######################################## RPM package conflict error. The message was: Test install failed because of package conflicts: file /usr/share/gimp/2.0 from install of gimp-2.0.1-5 conflicts with file from package gimp-data-extras-1.2.0-11 file /usr/share/gimp/2.0/brushes from install of gimp-2.0.1-5 conflicts with file from package gimp-data-extras-1.2.0-11 file /usr/share/gimp/2.0/patterns from install of gimp-2.0.1-5 conflicts with file from package gimp-data-extras-1.2.0-11 file /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi/auto from install of gaim-0.79-0.FC2 conflicts with file from package perl-5.8.3-18 But if I fetch the gimp-2.0.1-5.i386.rpm from an ftp mirror and install it manually with rpm -Uvh, rpm doesn't complain. Is this an up2date bug or is there something wrong with this PC? -akop
