This was the good idea: I could (at last) understand the (almost) cryptic error message: it means that, as yum want to update faad2 package and as the installed package is needed by xmms-faad2, this update cannot be done. The error message was not obvious for me, non English-speaking person. One mystery remains: why yum wanted to update a package when the installed version was the last one available on the servers?
