I tried that. There is a .lock file for passwd, shadow, gshadow and group in /etc. I removed all 4 lock files and each time I rerun useradd, the lock files show up again with the same result.

Other suggestions?

Thanks,
Bruce

All of a sudden I am getting this on my Fedora 2 system that has been up

useradd. All I can find in bugzilla is a NOTABUG reference (116391) to
shadow. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks
