If you haven't already, try this: rpm -ql mplayer That will list the files provided by mplayer's package. Maybe you can infer from the list where the codecs are kept. Also, mplayerhq.hu has (I believe) all the latest codecs in rpms. Whether or not these are compatible with the fm.net rpms I don't know, though.
