1st question: you are right. You get some FAQ's for your questions at http://www.nominum.com/getOpenSourceResource.php?id=6 2nd use in main.cf the parameter masquerade_domain=yourdomain.tld (or masquerade_domains=yourdomain.tld) this should masquerade all of your outgoing mails with the domain you append.
