FC2 Driver Disk for ITE8212 RAID ?

Hi,
I have built driver modules for GigaRaid based MB (ITE8212F chipset) and
installed them with the 2.6.6-1.435 kernel using code from
http://www.ite.com.tw/pc/LinuxDriver_it8212_092005-09.zip . This bit works
and I can boot off the RAID1 disks.

The process was a little convoluted
(http://www.astarte.net.au/dp/fc2iteraidblog.txt) so I would like to build
driver disks for a clean install of FC2.

I built iteraid.ko for 2.6.5-1.358 and updated the driver disk from RH9 as
follows:
mkdir modules
mv modules.cgz modules
zcat modules.cgz | cpio -id
mkdir 2.6.5-1.358 and 2.6.5-1.358BOOT
cp iteraid.ko into each
ls -1 2.6.5-1.358*/*.ko | cpio -Hcrc -o | gzip -9 > ../modules.cgz
cd ..
rm -fR modules
and copy the files to dos floppy.

When I boot FC2 CD with acpi=off dd, I get prompted for the disk but
everything hangs after reading the disk.

Is the procedure for .ko modules the same in FC2? Can anyone help get this
going?

Cheers,

Dave
