Hello,

I am running kernel-2.6.6-1.435 on a P4 . I have an external firewire attached to a 4-pin port(laptop). When i boot up my machine, it doesnt load my firewire hdd. So i try to disconnect it and reconnect the firewire cable and im getting this msg:

ieee1394: Node suspended: ID:BUS[0-00:1023] GUID[0001a33000002163]
ohci1394: fw-host0: SelfID received, but NodeID invalid (probably new bus reset occurred): 0000FFC0
ieee1394: Node changed: 0-00:1023 -> 0-01:1023
ieee1394: Node resumed: ID:BUS[0-01:1023] GUID[0001a33000002163]
ieee1394: The root node is not cycle master capable; selecting a new root node and resetting...
ieee1394: Node suspended: ID:BUS[0-01:1023] GUID[0001a33000002163]

is it an IRQ conflict? i cant figure it out. if i run rescan-scsi.sh it doesnt find it.

any help would be grateful

Kyle
