Hi; I'm hoping someone else has already worked this out so I don't have to. I have a Matrox G200 video card in my Linux box. It ran at 1024x768 under RH9. My box had a hardware failure (nic card), so I took the opportunity to 'upgrade' to Fedora Core 2. Unfortunately the best resolution I can get is 800x600! Help?
You might have already tried this - but to be sure:
- run system-config-display - choose 'hardware' -> 'monitor' -> 'config'
- make sure the display is set correctly (perhaps 'Generic CRT Display' -> Monitor 1024x768')
- Now in 'settings' -> 'resolution' choose 1024x768
- save config & restart the x-server
