Hello, The Savage MX / IX 1.1.27 driver supplied by Tim Probo and in the FC2 build / distribution is the "best" support for the Savage IX / MX "card" on the IBM T2x laptop. See: http://www.probo.com/timr/savage40.html To get around the "scrolling lock-up" that occurs with Linux and this video card - make the following ADDITION to the xorg.conf (*) DEVICE statement for the Savage card << Quote Start >> Option "ShadowStatus" Allows you to select the alternate "shadow" method of reading the engine status register. This has completely eliminated the infamous "scrolling hang" bug in every instance thus far, at the cost of a slight performance hit. << Quote End >> Can this addition to the DEVICE statement become the STANDARD, DISTRIBUTED, DEFAULT for this card to avoid the scrolling problem?? To whom do I forward this request? Separately it seems xorg.conf file has superceded XF86Config in Fedora. Clive ___________________________________________________________ALL-NEW Yahoo!
