I burned the discs in windows.

I tried buring them at different speeds.  Additionally, the discs
work fine in an Inspiron 7000 and another desktop I have.  I'm pretty
sure the discs are ok.

Its some sort of conflict between the old laptop drive and the cd-rom
drivers included with the newer distros.  I just can't figure out a
work around.

I can't install the old distro and then update or upload the isos
because the hard drive isn't big enough...only 3 gigs.

Maybe this thing is ready for ebay and/or the trash?
