If you mean manually, you can go into /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts. There are files called ifcfg-ethX, where X is the number (in your case 1,2 and 4) Rename them to 0,1 and 2. Each of these files probably has the devicename specified inside, so you need to open them and change them to be the same number as you rename them to. Then reboot the machine (maybe "service network restart" might be enough) MARK > -----Original Message----- > From: fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Stankaitis > Sent: Friday, June 18, 2004 12:47 PM > To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re-Order Nic Cards > > > > To make a long story short I have installed/re-installed > various NIC's in > my FC Box, and now I am in a position where I have and eth1, > eth2, eth4 > > Is there a way, and more so what is the best way to re-order > those NIC's > so I again have an eth0, eht1, eth2 > > --Chris > > > -- > fedora-list mailing list > fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx > To unsubscribe: http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list >
