I'm having trouble getting a D-Link DWL 650 working on an ancient IBM i1720. I've got Fedora 1, with the stock 2.4.22 kernel, and I get a couple of errors when cardmgr starts (or is restarted). The machine's got a TI cardbus bridge and an Intel PCI bridge. I'm not sure this card can work on the setup. I found a web page that says it should, with the orinoco driver. The details are below. I tried out a friend's Dell cardbus and it was recognized just fine. Many thanks for any help. Here's the entry in /etc/pcmcia/config, which I had to write in card "D-Link DWL-650 Wireless PC Card RevP ISL370101P-10 A3" manfid 0x000b, 0x7110 bind "orinoco_cs" --- And from /var/log/messages: product info: "D-Link", "DWL-650 Wireless PC Card RevP", "ISL370101P-10" "A3" --- And the result: cardmgr[2328]: starting, version is 3.1.31 watching 2 sockets Card Services release does not match kernel: cs: IO port probe 0x0c00-ox0cff: clean.
