no problem...

at my house, my account - craig

cd /home/craig
mv .gnome .gnome-bak
mv .gnome2 .gnome2-bak

log out kde
log in gnome

The reason I was suggesting to move them, is to keep any settings, as a
just in case. Myself, I would probably nuke them... rm -fr
/home/craig/.gnome /home/craig/.gnome2
