assuming CUPS is the better way to go for drivers?

I have the HP PSC 2115 (The European version of the 2110), which uses the same drivers etc, and I have had it working on both FC1 and FC2. Getting the printer working is easy, all you have you do is plug it in and then using the Fedora Print config tool simply add it by selecting the port that it is plugged in to and then the driver in the list (PSC 2110).

If you want to get the scanner working too, then you need to install HPOJ (it's on the FC2 disk) and enabled it in the Services tool. Then when it comes to setting up the print queue you select PTAL as the port and set up the driver as usual. Then you can use SANE to connect to the scanner too.
