I've received a simliar message, but there was nothing to do with the /boot partition. Are you sure this is the issue (that a specific partition is too small)? Where are you getting this error specifically? I've seen this before on HP machines that they misbehave before the hardware raid has completely finished building the raid'd device. -- Jerry Wilborn jerrywilborn at gmail com ----- Original Message ----- From: John perez <chico_student2000@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 11 Jun 2004 20:31:52 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Fedora Core Installation on Compaq Presario To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx Today I was trying to Install Fedora core for a friend of mine. I selected to setup everything(also partial packages later). The problem was It's not able to copy the Installation Image file to the /boot, to start with the process of installation.I have allocated full(maximum) 102MB space for the /boot partition, even than it's not going foreward. What can be the problem.I successfully installed it on Dell computer with a similar configuration(one NTFS partition for XP, and the second one for Linux). After repeated failures with Fedora, I tried 7.3 RH, which went through the installation process very comfortably. What shall I do and what might be the problem, John. ________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
