Hello all,
I was used to use DHCP spoofing on my DSL
router (Alcatel speedtouch pro) on my previous OS Redhat 8.0
without IP6. (DHCP-spoofing = assigning the
external IP addres to a Internal client (router acts as modem))
After installing Fedora core 2, I was getting the
right (external ip address), but routing didn't function anymore
so i was forced to use NAT translation on the
router. But I do want to use the spoofing on the router (in my case
this results in faster internet
access).
Could this be related to IP6, and if this is the
case, how to disable IP6 without recompiling the kernel?
I am rather convinced of the fact that the router
is OK, because the spoofing stil works on a W2K box.
Can anybody give me a clue where to
look?
With kind regards
