I am having a problem getting my Radeon 7000 to work with dri enabled in X. I believe that the following errors are what are causing the breakage. (From /var/log/Xorg.0.log) drmOpenDevice: minor is 0 drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (Unknown error 999) drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (Unknown error 999) drmOpenDevice: Open failed drmOpenDevice: minor is 0 drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (Unknown error 999) drmOpenDevice: open result is -1, (Unknown error 999) drmOpenDevice: Open failed [drm] failed to load kernel module "agpgart" drmOpenDevice: minor is 0 drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is 8, (OK) drmGetBusid returned '' X does not seem to recover well from this and goes off into never-never land.
