Thanks for the excellent link.  I followed the directions, set up the cron job 
for freshclam, and am currently scanning (6 infected files found already!).

I would really like to set up P3Scan to scan my incoming mail, but I'm not at 
all interested in setting up iptables just for the port redirection.
Is there any alternative for scanning incoming pop mail?
