It works quite well but it has a quirk.  It doesn't support prompting
for a password.  If the SSH connection prompts for a password, or
anything at all, you will receive an "Invalid Action Associated"
message.

Also, you may want to try the sftp:// handler.  It may be better.

What I have done is to create a SSH key without a passphrase.  Just take
extra care that no one gets their hands on the private key...

You can create a key something like this:
  ssh-keygen -t dsa -C "My Favorite SSH Key"
