I have a K8V SE Deluxe and have been running FC1 & FC2 (all the test versions
also). I have an NVidia 5200 video card. The main thing that does not work for
me is the Promise controller. I can not see two 160 GB PATA disks that are
attached to it using FC2. I have tried RAID and the extended IDE mode with no
disks found. SATA_Promise reports no disks are found???

As for your screen wash problem, try putting a 3 on the boot line in grub. This
starts you in console mode and you can then do a 'startx' to see why your
graphics will not start. I would guess a configuration problem. You are also
going to see errors from the ethernet controller, but this seems to be a BIOS
firmware bug. Most everything else seems to be fine with this MoBo.
