An upgrade from FC1 to FC2 has meant that my Sony Vaio PCG-C1VE will now only work in 8bpp mode, which is pretty ugly... (it was fine before in FC1 with more colors). Xorg will start with more colours but the screen is simply bright gray overall. Email correspondence with another owner suggests it's the same story for a Vaio C1VFK. It's been bugzilla'ed, but I haven't spotted any workarounds. Anyone else run across this? Des Johnston
