Hi!

Anybody else seeing frequent kernel panics in refile_inode (called from __remove_inode_page, called from shrink_cache) on 2.4.22-1.2188.nptlsmp?

I've filed a bug report in Bugzilla, if you experience similar panics you could help tracking it down:
http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=123332

There's also a bug with exactly the same symptoms which the Redhat guys claim to have fixed in 2.4.22-1.2190 test kernel update, but in my case the panice still occur.

The text of panic usually looks like this (the top of call trace look always teh same, down to the function try_to_free_pages_zone):

Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000000
