hallo yes I have similar problems creating shortcuts on the desktop since FC1-test-? with openoffice documents. double-clicking this link will start the correct app of OO, but if I want to save the changed document, OO complains: "could not create backup copy" But this feature is OFF in the configuration menu (Tools => Options => Load/save => General). ronald
