Hi All,

I am quite new to Linux and was wondering whether or not I could get my
TV card working in FC2?

The TV card is a Wintv pci nova. I ran the hardware wizard and that
tells me that the manufacturer is Philips Semiconductors and it has
installed a driver called nuget-ci.

I have tried running TVtimes i get a message saying 'no video source'
and a message saying, 'cannot open video device /dev/video0

dmesg. Maybe the driver had some problems. eg: I cannot use the DC10 I have because my mobo is a blinking VIA (KT266A) chipset.

I am just happy the PCTV works at all.

Anyone got any ideas,

Gordy

Hi Gordy Although there are ways and means of getting the the card working it is
a bit of a tricky situation.
If you are running FC1 you are in a spot because you will probably have
to add v4l (video 4 linux), I found it very difficult and expensive when
you use a modem connection.

add? v4l is available already on RH9.

I have a Miro PCTV and it works out of the box.
