OK I got things working correctly now I turned of the sound server if in KDE and voila t was OK. Now the mplayer runs immediately with ALSA plus realpayer starts up also immediately. Now is there a way to have both the sound server and sound in KDE running? I tried to set the hardware to ALSA, OSS and threaded OSS but no.
