I'm having trouble installing FC2 on my Dell Inspiron 3200 Laptop.

It stalls when it tries to mount the CD-ROM drive.

This happens with Mandrake 9.2, 10, Knoppix 3.4 and FC1.

I was, however, able to get it to boot Knoppix 3.3.

I'm pretty sure that I've burnt the disc correctly as they all work
in other machines. Additionally, others have experienced the same
problem. I haven't found any solutions.

There is something about the 3200's CD drive that conflicts with most
distro's installation, but I can't figure out what it is.
The drive is a Toshiba XM1702B ATAPI CDROM drive.

Any ideas?
