I would have to say http://www.google.com is the most comprehensive list you could ever hope to find =)

Google does not work very well when one is not familiar enough with the operating system to know what he is looking for
I just spent 15 minutes reading about kudzu - I learned a lot but there are hundreds of similar programs are fundamental to operating Linux - where can I find a list of them. I do not have enough years list to become a guru - I just want to be a common knowledgeable user.
