I have an Athlon Amd64-FX system on a Asus SK8N and also have Nauilus
fail on login. I also found that the desktop preferences application
fails when seletcted. With sound I have a Soudblaster Live 5.1 which
works with program sounds but wont play music CD's. I think that these
are Gnome problems rather than Fedora Core. The sound problem is one I
have had with 32 bit and 64 bit Fedora from the First release on. I am
running the X86_64 FC-2. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Problem 1: On each boot up into GNOME, Nautilus aborts.

It seems KDE works fine.
Problem 2: Network card gives random errors. Does not seem
to be a problem though. This happens with FC1 also.

Problem 3: I have a Promise RAID controller (FastTrack 20378) where
I have 2 160 GB ide drives connected. I do not know how to see these
drives. On FC1 2.4 kernel I used ft3xx driver and the devices were on
/dev/sda & /dev/sdb. It looks like the sata_promise is loaded, but where
are the drives?
