Thanks for this Mark -- This is quite odd -- I added the 4 lines below to my xorg.conf/XF86Config file, and it works! I can't say I understand it, but it works. I'm using the stock installed kernel from FC2: # uname -a Linux blah.here 2.6.5-1.358 #1 Sat May 8 09:04:50 EDT 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux I'm using the latest NVIDIA driver (5336), in dual-head Xinerama (TwinView). However, GLX does NOT work -- running glxinfo will result in a hard freeze.
