Re: rsync'ing fails?

Actually, I was able to get the ISOs overnight without a problem using BitTorrent -- our organization has no bandwidth problems. I'm just wondering if there is something wrong with rsync .. It is as if the other end just keeps resetting. I've thought about writing a loop around rsync so that it just restarts on failure. Would this be logical or is something bad actually happening? This is my only concern--I'll get the files sooner or later.

Ignore the errors for now.... everyone is being swamped with requests.

Best thing, keep trying... or try again later is about a month.

I have the same problem with FTP. Eventually, the server takes far too
long and my client times out.... Luckily, my client is setup to restart
after about 10 minutes. So, I'm getting everything only a little bit at
a time. I'm hoping to have the ISOs before next week.

I'm behind a firewall, so Bittorrent is out of the question. It locks
up on me with connecting to hosts.

I think what we need is an economical way to distribute the updates,
ISOs to the users. I can't see having to do this every update / upgrade
with the quickly growing number of users.

Good Luck,
