I had the same here; commented out "alias eth0 orinoco_cs" in
/etc/modprobe.conf, now the modules are loaded *after* pcmcia. After
that I had to fill in my ESSID in
/etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default/ifcfg-eth0 and everything was
fine.
