Hello all,

on it. Is there any pitfall with NForce 2 chipset that
I should be aware of? I recall some problem with the

P.S. The only "pitfall" I found with the nvnet driver is that it won't compile without kernel source being installed. The error messages don't tell you that, and neither do the instructions from nVidia.

I believe it far to assume that to compile a kernel module that the kernel sources would need to be installed. Especially since the kernel uses it's own set of headers.

Yes, it's fair. It's also generally mandatory to have the kernel source configured (at least through the "make xconfig;make dep" stages), unless you're certain UP/SMP or memory models aren't involved in the module. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Rick Stevens, Senior Systems Engineer rstevens@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - - VitalStream, Inc. http://www.vitalstream.com - - - - Brain: The organ with which we think that we think. - ----------------------------------------------------------------------
