What class of systems do you wish to communicate with.

All Linux, Mixed flavors of linux and mixed flavors of WindowZ.
Do you have a firewall.

Do you only want to communicate with boxes behind the firewall?

If you have a firewall and all the boxes are linux then look at
rwall (remote write all).

Are you asking for "equivalent" to or "interoperability" with netsend.
