Ditto usage wise. Have you ever set up her/your model printer under *nix? that was the only technical trouble I had with the conversion. I bought a new $60 ink jet after a knock down drag out fight with CUPS using an HP LaserJet 1000. Also, she has 100's of old .doc files and some lost their formatting in OO, mostly font related. To help keep the peace in case of trouble, you may want to create a dual boot system if you have the drive space.
