Describe which authentification mechanism you use and how you did set it up. In addition have a look at the great Simon Matter efforts to build Cyrus Imapd RPMs for RH9/FC1 (they are the basis for the upcoming official FC2 Cyrus Imapd): http://www.invoca.ch/pub/packages/cyrus-imapd/ If you do not patch your DB4, then you will run into the same situation as other K6/Athlon users like me.
