Re: Booting stops with 2.6.5-Kernel

I haven't been following this thread, but a friend saw a similar
problem with RedHat 7.3.  The machine just stopped booting one day at
this point in the boot process.  He said he found a recommendation from
Alan Cox to boot off of a rescue disk and fsck the filesystems.  This
did fix the problem, but we aren't sure why.
