I'm trying to use up2date to download kernel-2.4.22-1.2179.nptl.
It downloads the data, then pops up a message:
Question
The package kernel-2.4.22-1.2179.nptl does not have a valid GPG
signature.
It has been tampered with or corrupted. Continue?

You use a mirror server as source? If yes, then use a different one, if
not, then urgently switch off from the Redhat main server to a mirror.
For instruction how to do so see i.e.
