1. Get a Cross Cable
2. setup the Ips of both Pcs
	eg: pc1 -> 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0
	    pc2 -> 192.168.0.2/255.255.255.0
3. bring up the interface if not up already. 
	/sbin/ifconfig eth0 up
4. try pinging the box
	ping 192.168.0.2 (from pc1)
5. That shouls be it..

so exchange data, you could either try scp/ftp/samba/nfs
