Well, I have successfully installed the nVidia driver for my new PC. I changed my XF86Config file to reflect the changes suggested by the nVidia driver download site (as root). I CTL-ALT-BACKSPACE and log in fine using the newest nVidia drivers. Chromium and Tux Racer run as smooth as silk. The problem that I'm having is, that when I reboot, the XF86Config file is changed back to the way it was prior to making the updates, using the "original" nVidia driver (nv instead of nvidia). I have repeated this process a couple of times and now I'm getting frustrated. I have turned off kudzu thinking that was causing my problems. But it's STILL changing my config file back. What in the world am I missing here? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Wayne
