Thought 0: Spell "kernel" right :-P Thought 1: Take rhgb off the end and see if you get any further!

I just installed Fedora on a Compaq laptop (appeared
to be successful). Windows XP is installed on the 40G partition and LINUX
has it's own 20G partition. The GRUB dual boot appears to work fine (it displays
the DOS and LINUX options). Then, it appears to start
LINUX (lots of lines of code fly by) but freezes when
the Fedora Core graphics opens and the progress bar
says "Show Details" and the 'setting up local disks'
disappears <-- it freezes here.

The 3 GRUB commands are:
1> root (hd0,1)
2> kernal /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl ro
root=LABEL=/ hdc=ide-scsi rhgb
3> initrd /boot/initrd-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.img

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Nancy
