>From what I understand, the old standard 2x memory for swap -- is an old
standard. Unless you are working with servers and large databases the
need for swap (on systems with over 256M RAM) is somewhat limited. 
I suggest that you Google this or find a better source of information
than me, but I believe you will find this true.
