yeah, from what i can tell, there's no clean "sync" function for bookmarks in any browser. What is needed, IMHO, is a server based function like in many of the groupware packages, but even they don't integrate with any native browsers from my reading.

I've emailed the mozilla developement team to ask for this, the best thing they mentioned is publishing to a Webdav folder.

I have been investigating rsync but I'm not sure if it would be suited
for this purpose but it seems to be what you want.  Sorry, I haven't
used it yet.  Researching on how to sync files from a certain folder
from my laptop to the server?  Perhaps create a list of file in a text
file which would be updated sync-ed automatically when my network
connection was up?

Under Manage Bookmarks export to a file and floppy, nfs, or even email them to the other machine. Then Bookmarks Manage Import on the other machine. The problem is duplicates and a lot of cut and paste to clean up the bookmark files.
