wait a second, re-reading this something sounds funny.

mario, go over to your p2 box locally and type

  hostname

tell me if you see the p2 or p3 name?  did you set the hostname on both boxes to p3 by accident?

Time will end all my troubles, but I don't always approve of Time's methods.
