Good morning Jeany
I am unsure what you mean by "sharm is black". I have to assume that you
meant he screen is black.
Can you give us more information about what happens when the system
boots.
You should see the "grub" boot screen where you can choose which kernel
to boot.
Then you should see some white text scroll past.
Next there are two possabilites.
A) You see the RedHat Graphical Boot, that tells you what services are
starting.
B) Some more text scroll past stating what services are starting with a
little green [ok] to their right.
Do you see any of this?
You may want to try booting to run level 3, and reconfiguring your
XFree86 settings, as you may find this is the cause of the problems
(this is my guess).
at the grub boot prompt, select the kernel you wish to run, then press
"a", you should now see a line of text, put "3" at the end (with a space
before it) and then hit enter.
Once the system boots (if it does), login and run redhat-config-xfree86
--reconfig
Hope this helps.
Doug
