I can get back to you [with files hopefully] because I had this problem [as
does everyone] and I found 2/3 packages that you install and change a
setting in XMMS for it to work....

It's very informative for beginners. You will see one that says "How do
I make XMMS play MP3s?". I am, of course, assuming you are trying to use
XMMS, which looks like Winamp.

Look through the FAQ. And ask if anything else isn't clear.
