In /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices/ifcfg-eth0 I have: USERCTL=yes PEERDNS=yes TYPE=Ethernet DEVICE=eth0 HWADDR=00:40:f4:6f:b4:90 BOOTPROTO=dhcp
(Information for NETMASK, DOMAIN, IPADDR, DHCP_HOSTNAME, GATEWAY, NETWORK and BROADCAST
seem to be missing. Should I fill in these myself,(and with which values), or should
DHCP/something else do this for me?)

At least IPADDR and NETMASK should really be there...

I can't connect either. This used to work! and still does under Mandrake 9.2 and W98SE. My ............ifcfg-eth0 adds: DEVICE=eth0 ONBOOT=yes PEERDNS=yes

Other than that and a Xercom PCMCIA card I walking in your shoes.

I have this problem with two FC1 ( laptop ) installations and again they both used to work. I will keep trying to find the problem. TIA for any suggestions. Bert
